Launch and install it. Basically just keep clicking "next". You'll be prompted to enter an email address along the way, but you won't receive a confirmation email, so technically you can use any email.

After installation is complete, insert the CD and read it.

Database > Get CD Information From > Remote Metadata Provider, or use the shortcut Alt-G
With Alt+G, you can retrieve metadata. (basically)
Click on the CMP icon on the left-hand side to begin copying the tracks to compressed (FLAC) files.
To encode the CD to .flac and output files, click the icon labeled "CMP" on the left side and start.

Dealing with exact audio copy file creation error

Your paths and/or filenames are too long, this is the reason for your error.
Basically, this error appears when the file name and/or track title is long or contains unusable characters.
