This is a memo on how to deal with cases where the autocompletion function does not get disabled even after disabling auto input in LibreOffice Calc.
The method to disable auto input is as follows:
Setting to disable autocomplete and autocompletion in Calc.Wait, that's strange. I disabled it, but it's still not fixed.By default, Calc has autocomplete enabled. When trying to enter the same characters as other cells, they are suggested, and pressing Enter confirms them.
Tools > AutoInput - Disable.
Certainly, the understanding that “AutoInput is ‘a function where a string is suggested after entering a string, and pressing Enter completes it as is’” seems correct…
I need to keep autocomplete from "suggesting" the end of what I am inputting in a cell, if I don't realize it is suggesting something, and I hit enter, I end up with something different in the cell. Why?
Just to be sure, I try restarting LibreOffice Calc.
…It worked.
I thought the UI was a bit unfriendly.
