Introducing how to export Chrome search history to CSV and enable searching using ChromeHistoryView.

Do you delete or keep your Chrome history? I used to delete it immediately. But now I always keep it.

There are various benefits to keeping it, but if you keep it for now, you can take statistics, search, and do various things later. I believe that any data that can be collected should be collected and kept.

There are also plugins like Visited - Chrome Web Store that color-code sites you’ve visited once, which is one of my favorites. Even just this use case improves efficiency enough to be worth keeping.

To be honest, I’d like to not only export but also merge and import, but the current Chrome doesn’t have such features, and there doesn’t seem to be any software that does this. For this, I think it’s best to just export in any format, keep the file, and import it later when such functionality becomes available.

There are methods to export using extensions, but ChromeHistoryView - View the browsing history of Chrome Web browser has a good reputation, supports various formats, and can do simple string searches, making it convenient.

One disappointment is that while the grid is well-designed, the search functionality is a bit disappointing. There’s no regex search, let alone the ability to specify columns like SQL select.
